Koi Pond Liners

The biggest mistake in ordering a pond liner is ordering one that is too short. Make sure your measurements include the depth on both sides, and ledges, and enough to go under the perimeter rocks (3 ft on each side), and over the top of a cascading waterfall. You don't want to discover as your installing the liner that you are a foot too short.

Many if not most professional pond designers and installers use 20 mil thick PVC. Some worry about the cold weather brittleness of PVC. Homeowners tend to want a no hassle pond liner and use 30, 45, and even 60 mil thick material that is much more difficult to install because of its greatly increased weight. A 20 mil PVC liner weighs .13 pounds/sq ft. A 30 mil PVC liner weighs .2 pounds/sq ft. A 45 mil EPDM liner weighs .3 pounds/sq ft. A 60 mil EPDM liner weighs .4 pounds/sq ft.

UPS will ship liners up to 140 lbs. Over 140 lbs we need to ship by truck. Most trucking companies charge $25 to $30 extra to deliver to a residential address (if you can have it delivered to a commercial address you save the $25 - $30). Shipping charges vary from about $25 to about $75 depending on weight and distance. We also ship internationally.

Repair of PVC liners is very quick and easy, and can even be done under water.

	Fishgrade PVC is a flexible material, very durable. Color is black and semi-glossy.
	LLDPE is semi-rigid fishsafe material, very durable. Color is black, smooth and glossy.
	EPDM is a synthetic rubber fish safe material made only by Firestone with Pond Gard stamped on it. Color is an innertube gray, but called black, and is not shiny or glossy.
	Geotextile is a non-woven soft fabric used as an underlayment in areas where sharp rocks or objects may damage your liner.

EPDM Firestone Pond Gard Fish Safe Pond Liners

	EPDM is a Firestone synthetic rubber material "Pond Gard" that is made for ponds and fishponds.
	No anti-bacterial or anti-fungicide additives are added to this Firestone Pond Gard material.
	You can be sure your Firestone Pond Gard liner material will be a safe, healthy aquatic environment for all your freshwater aquatics!
	This is a very durable material with cold crack at -40F.
	UV resistance is very good for this material.
	If it's not Firestone Pond Gard, it's probably not fish safe.
